MoveVolt is an online shop without a physical showroom; all contact runs by email.
Article 2 — Scope
These terms apply to every offer by MoveVolt and to every distance contract between MoveVolt and a consumer. Any provision conflicting with mandatory consumer law does not apply: statutory rights always prevail over this text.
Article 3 — The offer
Prices are in euros, including 21% Dutch VAT and excluding shipping. Product information is as accurate as possible; obvious errors do not bind MoveVolt. Offers are valid while stocks last. If an ordered product turns out to be unavailable, we tell you and refund you as soon as possible, at the latest within 14 days.
Article 4 — The contract
The contract is concluded when you place the order and MoveVolt confirms it by email. You order as a guest; no account is needed. Keep your order number for returns, warranty and service.
Article 5 — Payment
Payment runs through Stripe, on Stripe's own secure payment page (including iDEAL and credit card). Your payment details never reach MoveVolt; we only receive the payment status. Orders are paid in advance: we ship only after a successful payment.
Article 6 — Shipping and delivery
- Shipping is free within the Netherlands, with no minimum order value. The exact amount is shown in the cart and at checkout, before you pay.
- We deliver in the Netherlands to the address you provide. An incorrect address is at your own risk.
- If delivery unexpectedly does not take place within 30 days, you may cancel the contract free of charge and we refund you within 14 days.
- The risk of damage or loss passes to you once you (or someone you designate) takes receipt of the parcel.
Article 7 — Right of withdrawal (14-day cooling-off period)
You have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the day you receive the product, during which you may cancel without giving a reason.
- Notify us: email hallo@movevolt.nl with your order number. You may use the EU model withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.
- Return: send the product back complete within 14 days of your notification, with all accessories and, where possible, in its original packaging.
- Return costs: the cost of returning the product is yours, unless agreed otherwise in writing beforehand.
- Handling: you may try the product as you would in a shop. Any further use (for instance riding it outdoors) makes you liable for the resulting loss of value.
- Refund: we refund the purchase price and the standard outbound shipping cost within 14 days of your notification, via the same payment method. We may wait until we have received the product or until you have proven you sent it.
Article 8 — Warranty and conformity
You are entitled to the statutory warranty (conformity): the product must be what you may reasonably expect under the contract. If it is not, you are entitled to free repair or replacement and, failing that, to cancellation or a price reduction. These rights are not limited to a fixed number of years. MoveVolt claims no additional manufacturer warranty of its own; where a manufacturer offers a commercial guarantee this is stated with the product and it never limits your statutory rights. Normal wear (tyres, brake pads, battery capacity through use) and damage from falls, misuse or your own modifications are not covered.
Article 9 — Use on public roads
Whether an electric scooter may be used on Dutch public roads is determined by Dutch law (RDW approval), not by MoveVolt. You remain responsible for complying with traffic rules and for any insurance. Rules can change; check the RDW or the Dutch government for current information.
Article 10 — Complaints
Complaints about the performance of the contract should be submitted, fully and clearly described, to hallo@movevolt.nl. You receive a substantive reply within 14 days. If we need more time, we will say so within that period.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can also submit your dispute through the European Commission's ODR platform. You always retain the right to bring your complaint before the competent disputes committee or the Dutch courts.
Article 11 — Liability
Nothing in these terms limits MoveVolt's liability for intent or wilful recklessness, for death or personal injury, or for any liability that mandatory law (including product liability) does not allow to be excluded.
Article 12 — Applicable law
Dutch law applies to all contracts. As a consumer you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
