Check legality before you order

If you want to ride on public roads, this is the most important question of all. Of our range, 1 of 136 models are RDW-legal and permitted, while the other 135 are not (yet) — those are meant for private land, sport and off-road. In the Netherlands most electric scooters may not simply go on the road; only models approved by the RDW may. That sounds strict, but making the right choice up front saves you a fine and hassle.

In the catalogue, therefore, use the legal filter to instantly see only the permitted models. Do you mainly ride on an enclosed site, a sports venue or off-road? Set your budget and the specs that matter

Look beyond price alone. Three specs make the real difference in practice between a scooter that fits and one that disappoints:

• Range — how many kilometres per charge? A short city ride needs less than a long commute. Always allow a margin against the factory figure, because cold, weight and hills take kilometres off in practice.
• Top speed — partly determines whether a model is allowed and how quickly you get around. In our range speeds run from 6 to 120 km/h; the highest are mainly in the sport and off-road models.
• Weight — important if you often carry the scooter, for instance on the train or up the stairs to your apartment. A foldable city model is then nicer than a heavy long-range scooter.
